News! Hello all, Fall has been busy and exciting! I have been thinking and writing about portraiture and project making, exploring the role of media in the political campaign, studying the mysteries of texture and light through my ongoing “when all else fails” project and practicing my skills at photographing cats (I have two small kitties sleeping on my laps as I write…) – What a challenge! I have also been mentoring a lot of creative image makers and teaching a Christmas Workshop to the excellent team of the Garden Club of America! My new LONG TERM PROJECT class at ICP school is rolling! I am delighted to guide a fantastic group of students in their photographic journey. After 10 weeks of intense assignments and reviews, everyone came up with an idea for a final project. Some chose to create memory by shooting the everyday, others took a more conceptual route by exploring memory through light or family objects. In the Winter, I will be continuing that adventure as well as teaching my signature “The 5 Minute Portrait” 10-week class. This class will take place every Monday from 10am to 1 pm from January 23rd, 2017 to April 3rd, 2017. In the Spring 2017, I am taking you to PROVENCE! Come for a photographic ballade in the South of France and let’s make a book out of it! The workshop will take place from May 17, 2017 to May 25, 2017. We will be based in Aix en Provence. !! The deadline for registration is coming soon! For questions or registration to any of these classes, you can go to icp.org/school or call the education office at ICP school: +1 (212) 857-0001. Happy New Year to you all and stay warm!
